Lars Kühlcke studied law with a focus on employment and labour law at the Georg-August-Universität of Göttingen and the Aarhus Universitet, Denmark.

After passing his first state examination, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Civil Law and Labour Law of Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Krause in Göttingen. In 2024, he received his doctorate from Georg-August-University of Göttingen with a dissertation on „Freedom of employment contracts and third-party interests“. He completed his legal clerkship in Lüneburg and Hamburg (including stations in the Human Resources Department of Norddeutscher Rundfunk and in a national boutique law firm specialised in employment and labour law).
