Richard Petras advises on all matters of collective and individual employment and labour law.


His work focuses in particular on dismissal protection litigation, drafting contracts, implementing transactions and restructurings as well as providing ongoing employment and labour law advice to international companies.

Short CV

Richard Petras studied law at the University of Hamburg and subsequently completed his legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court, including stints at Esche Schümann Commichau and Hogan Lovells in Frankfurt.

After completing his second state examination, he wrote his dissertation on a temporary employment and labour law topic at Bucerius Law School ("Das Festhaltensrecht im neuen AÜG"). He also worked as a research assistant in the labour law team of a renowned Hamburg commercial law firm. In 2019, he successfully completed his Master's degree at the University of Cape Town before joining SCHRAMM MEYER KUHNKE.
