He advises national and international companies on all matters of individual and collective employment and labour law.
Michael Kuhnke has many years of experience in providing employment and labour law advice on M&A and outsourcing transactions, transfers of undertakings and restructuring projects.
Another focus of his work is advising companies as well as board members and managing directors on drafting contracts, the introduction of variable remuneration models and employee participation programmes as well as on separation scenarios. In addition, Dr. Michael Kuhnke also advises on compliance issues in employment and labour law and employee data protection.
Short CV
Michael Kuhnke studied law at the Universities of Konstanz and McGill Montreal, Canada. He completed his legal clerkship in Hamburg and Paris, among other places.
Before founding SCHRAMM MEYER KUHNKE, he worked as a lawyer in the Employment Pensions Benefits practice group of the renowned international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in its Hamburg office from 2005 to 2010. Michael Kuhnke regularly gives specialist lectures and is the author of numerous publications on employment and labour law topics.
In the rankings of the international industry magazines Legal 500 and Best Lawyers as well as in the JUVE Handbook, he has been regularly listed among the leading employment and labour law and commercial lawyers in Germany for years (for example, JUVE Handbook 2014/2015: "professionally excellent, pragmatic and solution-oriented").
